Formal Wildlife Sightings

Bird records

The preferred way to report your bird records to HDNS is now via the BTO BirdTrack service.

All local records sent to BirdTrack will be forwarded by BTO to the HDNS bird recorder (Stephen Root) and the Yorkshire Recorders, so they are much more widely available.

Butterfly records

We do not currently have a Recorder for butterflies. Instead, please send your records to the VC64 recorder (Mr Dave Ramsden Email: dave.ramsden@outlook.com), to Butterfly Conservation via Butterflies for the New Millennium Online or use the iRecord Butterflies app.

Records of other animals, plants or fungi

To submit your formal records for the Annual Report please use the Report Form or in the usual way as you have done in the past.

If you are unable to submit your records via BirdTrack, please use the Report Form to send directly to the bird recorder.
