“The Birds of Prey in Nidderdale AONB Evidence Report sets out the current state of key upland raptor populations, both nationally and within the AONB, and assesses confirmed incidents of persecution in the AONB based on the best information available at the time of publication. It also identifies gaps in the data and the need to establish additional robust bird of prey monitoring programmes.
The report will provide the baseline for measuring future progress on our work with land owners, moorland managers, the police and others to safeguard birds of prey and prevent their illegal persecution in the AONB, a key objective in our 2019-2024 Management Plan.”
