There is one metalled road which walkers follow, from Ripon Golf Course right through to an another exit/entrance near Lightwater Valley. Another public footpath goes from this road, past Middle Parks Farm and finally comes out near High Batts NR. Do not stray off the path.

About the location
A site of Special Scientific Interest for the range of habitats including river, scrub, marsh and grassland. The gravelly river banks are a good breeding site for several birds.
